At Source, we follow several daily cultural protocols when preparing our water for our customers. One of these is a unique practice we call "Words in the Box." This idea was inspired by Veda Austin's research into the memory and communication of water.
We began to wonder if placing words of intention inside each box of Source water could influence the water’s energy and intention for the person receiving it. We have over 100 different words of intention in rotation, and we don’t choose which word goes to whom. Each one is ‘randomly’ selected for each box and person.
Yet, it’s been incredible to hear feedback on how each word resonates with each person at that specific moment in their life. Their experiences have been so profound that we've developed a new philosophy: perhaps, instead of us merely placing words of intention to be imbued into the water, we’ve created a conduit for the water to communicate its own intent to each individual—knowing exactly what they need to hear or understand at that moment.
This is a complete reversal of what we initially thought. We are not giving the water intention; the water is communicating its intention to each person. It sounds wild, and even feels strange to say—but the coincidences are undeniably enchanting and magical.
With this in mind and by request, we’ve created this wonderful deck of intentions, which we call “Words in the Box – Coasters.” In this box are 50 different words of intention for you to use in your space.
These coasters are tools to help you stay connected to Source, even if you’re unable to have Source in your glass that day. Each coaster features a background image of Source water’s crystallography, capturing its “signature pattern,” beautifully photographed by Veda Austin. This image hints at the codes and information the water may be sharing—not just with you, but with the water you drink.
We invite you to shuffle the deck and randomly select a word each day, or find a word that resonates with you in the moment. You can place them under a glass or jug of water at home, in your office, or while traveling, allowing the energy of the word to interact with you and the water you drink.
If you’re familiar with Veda Austin’s method of freezing water for crystallography, you can even use the coasters under a petri dish to explore the water’s response to these words.
